How to Enroll in the Climate Science Concentration

Step 1: Download and complete the Climate Science Concentration enrollment form.

Step 2: Schedule a meeting with your faculty advisor to review your course plan.

Step 3: Turn the enrollment form into the Climate Science Concentration coordinator, Karen Bray, at kbray@ufl.edu. You will receive email confirmation that you have been enrolled in the concentration.

Once you are enrolled, you will want to have a midpoint check-in with your advisor to ensure you are on track to complete all the Climate Science Concentration requirements prior to graduation.

In the semester prior to graduating: (1) Let the graduate student advisor of your home department know of your plans to have the Climate Science Concentration added to your transcript. She or he will check with the Climate Science Concentration coordinator to ensure you have finalized the requirements. (2) Complete the Concentration Graduation Form and send it to the coordinator.

Please note that PhD students seeking a second concentration, in addition to one already received at the Master's level, cannot count any of their 4 Master's-level required courses for their doctoral concentration. As dictated by UF’s Graduate School, they must complete 5 different required courses to receive an additional concentration on their transcript at the doctoral level.
